Louis E. Shipos, 91, husband, father, grandfather passed away on June 2, 2022 in Newfield, NY. Louis and late wife, Jean, lived in Fairhaven, NY for 29 years. Preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy (Danaher) Shipos, of 28 years.
Louis was born in North Lansing, NY on June 24, 1930. The last surviving son of Joseph A. and Ester Shipos. Predeceased by three brothers, Steven, Joseph and John and a sister, Mary (Shipos) Danaher. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Susan (Shipos) Adams.
Surviving first family are children, Karen (Ron) Raeder of McLean, NY, David (Marcia) Shipos of Williamson, NY, and Kenneth Shipos of Newfield, NY; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Surviving step family, 4 children, Alan Warren of North Carolina, Sandy (Steve) Norton of Florida, Vernon Svereika of New York and Jon Erik Svereika of New York; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Louis attending Ithaca, NY schools and Cornell University. He was employed by National Cash Register Co. for 33 years as a design engineer and later 2 years a factory manager. He was a sportsman and a golfer. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 3 years during the Korean War.
