Lillian ("Judy") Teal died peacefully at Beechtree Care Center on May 2, 2015. Born in Troy , N.Y. on July 13,1921 to Clifford and Emma Lafferty, she married Howard Teal in 1941. They spent many years in Boonvile, N.Y. where she turned her passion for reading into the position of librarian at Erwin Library. Following Howard's retirement from teaching at Adirondack Central School the couple traveled around, eventually moving to Brooksville, FL while spending summers in Ithaca. After Howard's death in 1991, Judy moved to Ithaca.
She is survived by daughter Joanne Tausz and son-in-law Alan Tausz of Ithaca, sister-in-law Dorothy Lafferty of Homosassa, FL and various nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
