Liisa Sue Wright

VARNA - ITHACA - Liisa Sue Vaananen Wright, age 53 of Varna, NY passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 8, 2018. Born August 9, 1964 in Ithaca, NY she was the daughter of William J. Vaananen and Shirley Ann Lykens. Liisa loved cooking, her many pets and was an avid reader. Liisa is survived by her loving husband Lawrence, her father and stepmother William J. and Judith E. Vaananen, sisters Kristina Scali (Orlando), Carrie Galambos (Lou), Kelly Kincaid (Russell), Deborah Howe (Dominic), Wendy Cecce, Sherry Fritsch, step daughter Arielle Bonnell, grand daughter Ocean Bonnell and many nieces and nephews. In addition, she was predeceased by mother Shirley Ann Lykens, brother David Vaananen, grandparents William and Helvi Vaananen and Merton and Anna Furgeson. A celebration of her life will be forthcoming at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of Ithaca or the National Kidney Foundation.
