Leslie M. Brown

Leslie M. (Les) Brown, 89, of Newfield, New York, passed away at home on Wednesday January 29, 2014. Born in Macon, Ga. Son of the late Leslie and Margaret MacLane Brown.

Les was a veteran of WWII with the 82nd Airborne of the U.S. Army receiving three Purple Hearts A Silver Star and A Bronze Star, he was a member of the V.F.W. Post 961 where he had served Two terms as Commander, also a member of the Ithaca Eureka Fire Patrol #4, American Legion, Eagles, Elks #636 and the Masons as a 32nd Master Mason.

Survivors include His wife: Rosemary Nedrow Brown, Sons: Leslie Brown, Douglas Brown, Mark and Craig Bishop,Daughters: Jacqueline Brown, Nevada Weinberg, Robin Grodsky and Roxanne Leyes, five (5) Grandchildren and a Sister: Ethelyn Sluszka.

A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday February 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Bangs Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Ford officiating Burial at Trumbulls Corner Cemetery
Newfield, Will Be delayed until Spring. Friends may call Tuesday February 4, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.
