Leonard E. Foster

Leonard E. Foster, 82, passed away at home on July 16, 2022. He was born on May 5, 1940 in Burdett, NY to Albert B. and Mildred A. Foster.  Besides his parents, Leonard was predeceased by his daughter, Amy Jo; as well as his siblings, Ken Foster, Pete Foster, Millie Tuttle, Jerry Cody, Ed Foster and Billie Tuttle. Leonard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean Foster; children, Richard Foster (Theresa), Tina Lupo (Louie), David Foster (Renee), Connie Coyle, Debra Johnston, and Robin Kinney (John); siblings, Richard Foster and Jean Buske; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Leonard was a hard worker who wore many hats over the years, working for Cornell, the Ithaca City School District, NYSEG, on dairy farms and as a carpenter. In his free time he most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, building model cars and trucks, appreciating classic cars and motorcycles, listening to old music, watching old movies, hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa. Always smiling and ready to chat.  He will be greatly missed by his family and all that have had the opportunity to know him.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Frear Memorial Park Cemetery, 110-130 Hayts Road, Ithaca, NY.
