Lee R. Avery, age 40 of Ithaca, New York was called Home to Glory by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, July 19, 2021.
Born April 21, 1981 in Cortland, New York he was the son of Gloria Hammond Teague and Robert Alan Avery. Gifted artistically and musically, yet his true gift was his unending love and compassion for others. Lee touched many lives with his huge heart of gold. He continues to give life to others through his selfless gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
In addition to his parents, Gloria Teague of Port Byron, NY and Al (Bambi) Avery of Dryden, NY, Lee is also survived by his beloved sister, Tamara Avery (Derick); grandparents, William Avery and Janet Tryon; the love of his life, Heidi Woodward; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
To the Angels in scrubs and to his entire medical team of hero’s, at Cayuga Medical Center; no words can express our gratitude for the outstanding and compassionate care Lee received and always going above and beyond with comfort and caring.
