Lawrence L. Kamin

Lawrence L. Kamin, 81, of East Lansing Rd. Groton, died Tuesday October 16, 2012 at Cayuga Medical Center. He was born in Menominee, MI, son of the late Leslie and Angeline Dura Kamin.
Larry was retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service and was also retired from Cornell University with 25 years of service. He was as an avid bowler and NY Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Corey Kamin; son, Michael (Christina) Kamin of Newfield, NY; Daughter, Katherine Pipher and companion Adrian Perry of Fulton, NY; Grandchildren, Amanda (Dave Vanderhoof), Kyle, Corey, Brandon, Simon, Spencer and Desiree; great grandson, Chase, and his sister, Mary Jane (Brian) Oehler and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday October 20, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church with Rev. Jeffrey Tunnicliff officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will be held at the Sampson Veterans Cemetery at a later date. There are no calling hours. Bangs Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wills Eye Hospital Market Street Philadelphia, Pa. or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
