Kenneth Whited

Kenneth G. Whited, 88, of Ithaca, NY, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, September 04, 2018 with his loving family by his side.

Ken was born in Ithaca, son of the late Fred and Ethel Wren Whited. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War and was retired from National Cash Register. He was an active golfer and bowler and loved walking and hiking. He was an avid fan of horse racing.

In addition to his parents, Ken was also predeceased by his sisters, Betty Whited Vasteno and her husband, Mike and Laura Worth and her husband, Daniel and his brother, Harry Higgins and his wife, Doris. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Richard “Rick” and Lynn Whited; his daughter, Linda Cone; his granddaughters, Brianne, Nicole and Shannon and several nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to him as Uncle Kenny

In keeping with Ken’s wishes he will be interred privately at the Calvary Cemetery where military honors will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW Post 961 Ritual Team, 423 W. State St., Ithaca, NY 14850. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
