Kenneth R. "Bob" Hart

Kenneth R. "Bob" Hart, 88, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Hospicare Residence. He was born in Ithaca on June 14, 1927, son of the late Marion and Margaret Terry Hart.

Bob retired from Ithaca College where he had served as their fieldhouse manager and had previously worked in the restaurant business at Bill's Luncheonette, Johnny's Big Red Grill and the Coddington Restaurant. He was an avid fan of all Ithaca College Bombers Athletics and was also a fan of the N.Y. Mets. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wyneta Ross Hart; his sons, Kerry Hary, Paul (MaryAnn) Hart, Wade (Christine) Hart and Robert (Tammy) Hart; his step-son, Roy (Kay) Pealo and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, David Hart; sister, Marian (Solon) Ogden and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Erin Hart and grandson, Landon Marion Hart and his brothers, John Hart and Donald "Beano" Hart.

Friends may call on Friday, February 05, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. Burial with military honors to be held at South Hill Cemetery will be delayed until spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850
