Karl W. Treen Iii

Karl W. Treen III, 64, of Newfield, NY, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Karl was raised in Orange County California, moved to New York in 2001 and lived in Tompkins County, NY these last 8 years.

Karl was a strong man and a anchor in his faith in Jesus Christ. A Beloved dedicated and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and a hearty laughter that couldn't be forgotten. Karl was a very gifted and talented musician who played the piano and guitar. He composed many songs. He attended Cottonwood Christian Center School of Ministry for two years in Southern California. Karl was also a piano tuner. When he could, he enjoyed reading and playing a good game of pinball. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany for 3 years. He was a taxi driver for Ithaca Dispatch for 10 years.

Survived by his wife Kim Sykes Treen of 36 years, daughter Jessica Treen and grandson, Gavin. His father, Karl W. Treen, II 96 years old, brother Thom Treen and sisters, Janet and Judith Treen. Brothers and sisters- in laws and their spouses and many nephews and nieces. Karl was pre-deceased by his mother, Jerrye Arnston Treen.

A Memorial service will be held at Ithaca First Assembly of God on April 24, 2021, 11:00 greeting family, 12 noon memorial service.
