Karen (Ralph) Sullivan, 76, of Newfield, NY passed away on July 20, 2022. She was born on June 12, 1946 to Harry and Sylvia Sutherland. Besides her parents, Karen was predeceased by her husband, William H. Sullivan, Jr. and many close friends including Audrey Srnka and Lee Leonardo. She is survived by her children Paula (Wayne) Miller, Patricia (David) Siegard and Patrick (Kristin) Sullivan; grandchildren Evan and Andrew Miller, Ashley and Michael Siegard, Amanda (Christopher) Moscato and Lauren and Logan Sullivan; siblings David (Joan) Sutherland, Donald (Bea) Sutherland, and Kathy (Earl) Carpenter as well as many nieces and nephews.
Karen was the proud owner of Karen’s Air Traveler gift shop at the Ithaca Airport for many years. She worked as a legal secretary for Wes McDermott, Attorney at Law. Karen made many friends while bartending at The White House Inn, Seabring Inn and the VFW. She enjoyed many things such as playing slow-pitch softball in the Ithaca City league, playing golf in the Daisy Sweet golf league, playing euchre, and spending time with family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Monday, July 25, 2022 at Bangs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family with burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Karen’s name. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bangs Funeral Home.
