Karen Stout

Karen A Stout (McDaniel), 63, passed away peacefully on December 3rd, 2018 at home in Ithaca, NY. She was born on February 22nd, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Elizabeth McDaniel. She was an avid knitter and loved to cook and entertain for all her friends, including her many friends at Titus Towers. She had a wicked sense of humor that resonates with her kids. She had an accepting personality and loved everyone. Her proudest achievements were her children.

She married Bill Oechslin on March 30th, 1973 in Philadelphia, they had three children William (Billy) Oechslin (Mark LiBritz), John Oechslin (Kelly), and Elizabeth (Liz) Laue (Duane). She married David P Stout, Jr on May 4, 1985 and they had two children David Stout (Jennifer) and Christina Oliva (Kevin). She is survived by her children and six grandchildren Alex, Hailey, Johnny, Emily, Jenna and Luke as well as her brothers Joe, George (Eilleen), Jim and Tom (Jeannie), and her beloved cat Melody. She is predeceased by her parents and brothers Edward, Vince(Valerie) and Jack(Marie)

The memorial service will be on Friday, December 7th, 2018 at Bangs Funeral Home from 11am to 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Tompkins County SPCA.
