Judith Sheppard Crandall (Judi), 77, passed away on Friday, April 09, 2021. She was born in Utica, NY on May 09, 1943 and was adopted one month later by Walter B. and Lila M. Sheppard.
Judi was a graduate of Cascadilla School and attended Geneseo State College. She was an avid horse lover and rode and competed in dressage at Cornell University during her teen age years. She raised and bred thoroughbred horses in West Danby for several years until she moved out of state. In later years she raised and bred dachshunds until her return to Ithaca.
Judi is survived by her husband of 15 years, Charles Rusty Crandall; her sister, Frances Withiam of Ithaca; niece, Tammy Harrison of Florida and nephew, Jeffrey Hirlemann of Cortland. Also surviving are several cousins.
In addition to her parents, Judi was also predeceased by her son, Charlie Tolliver and other family members.
