Josie Berrios
April 28,1989-June 13,2017
Born Joezaya Moses Berrios but also referred to as Kendra Adams, Kimbella, Egypt, even Cyan, just to name a few.
Mere letters of a name could not contain an energy force as bold and vivacious as our Josie. She was when life throw obstacles she always rose about them. She was a proud person. Never shying away from who she was. Wearing her heart on her sleeve. She was always there to encourage others, family, friends. LGBT+ community, everyone was pulled close to her a and valued. She was expressive. Some might say flashy and a bit sparkly at times. We all could learn a little something from her and show a more of who we really are instead of hiding behind closed doors or in a box. Josie was passionate. About her family, her friends, being creative and definitely her make-up.
Friends, family and community are invited to join us for a candle light Celebration of Life. Sunday, June 18. 2017 at 7:30 pm at the Bernie Milton Pavilion on the Commons. A private funeral service will be held for family.
In lieu of flowers please send donations in her name to the Paul Shruers Memorial Program @ The Ithaca Youth Bureau.
The Berrios Family would like to express our sincerest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from our community during this time.
