Josephine Maliski Mix

Josephine Maliski Mix, 101, a resident of Longview, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014. She was born in Portchester, NY, daughter of the late William and Anna Maliski and was the widow of Donald C. Mix who died on February 12, 1972.

Josephine had worked for Ithaca Gun Co. and Cornell University and was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Josephine is survived by her sister, Louise Strecker and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her sisters, Mary Stewart and Anna Diller and her brothers, Walter, John, Adam and Leo Maliski.

Private graveside services will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in the spring. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine's memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception School, 320 W. Buffalo St., Ithaca, NY 14850. Arrangements are by the Bangs Funeral Home.
