John Wayne Kemp

John Wayne Kemp, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Albany Stratton V. A. Medical Center, Albany, NY with his loving family and the Medical Center's caring staff at his side.
Wayne was born in Ithaca, son of the late Douglas and Helen Smith Kemp. He was a graduate of Ithaca High School and a veteran of the United States Army.

Wayne is survived by his son and daughter in law, Jeffrey and Susan Kemp; his grandchildren, Gabriel and Elijah Kemp; his brothers, William Lee (Lois) Kemp, Ronald Clyde (Linda) Kemp and Mason Kiel Kemp and his sister in law, Marilyn Kemp. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who were special to him and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Douglas Garrison Kemp; his former wife, whom he always remained very close with, Carol J. Kemp and sister in law, Shirley Kemp.

In keeping with Wayne's wishes there will be no formal services or calling hours. A memorial gathering to celebrate Wayne's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Fall Creek House.
