John A. Brecht, 74, of Brooktondale, NY and longtime Ithaca resident, died Thursday, April 19, 2018. He was the retired owner of B & D Cleaning Company which he had owned for over 40 years and was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman.
John is survived by his sons, John Brecht III (Patricia) and Joseph Brecht; his daughter, Nicole Castro (Peter) and his grandchildren, John, Megan and Katelyn Brecht and Madison and William Castro. He is also survived by his sisters, Darlene Mack, Patricia Chaffin (Justin) and Irene Hunter. John was predeceased by his parents and five siblings.
Friends may call on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 1 to 3 pm at the Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the American Lung Association www.lung.org.
