Joan Kelso Hutzler

Joan Kelso Hutzler, born December 8, 1930 in New York City died January 14,2023 at Kendal of Ithaca, a life care community in Upstate NY.  She was  predeceased by her husband of 57 years John Robert Hutzler (August 22, 1929-Decemeber 24, 2009).  Before moving to Kendal, Joan lived at The Landings in Savannah GA for 20 years, having relocated there from Malvern PA.  Joan supported her family through multiple Eastern US  relocations as her husband climbed  the engineering corporate ladder.  When her children were all old enough to attend school, she became a librarian at the elementary and middle school levels, and in retirement, was a part-time reference librarian in Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her four children: John (Maria) Hutzler, Oak Park IL; Christine (James) Medici, Omaha NE; Beth (Peter) Brennan, Ithaca NY; James (Wendy) Hutzler, Barrington RI,  eight  grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
