Jerilea D. Burke, age 80, of Lansing, NY passed away July 13, 2021, as a result of brain cancer. Jerry was born on August 23, 1940, in Ithaca, NY, the daughter of Carl and Isabel Davis. She was a graduate of Lansing Central School.
Jerry is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ron Burke; children, Lisa (James) Proper, Scott Burke and Wendy (Randy) Zukowski; grandchildren, Mark Proper, Kelly (Keegan) McCarty, Ryan (Kelsy) Earl, Nicole Earl & Isabella Sharp; sister, Noreen Chatterton; sister-in-law Verla Gabriel; many nieces and nephews and a dear family friend Cindy (Jack) Stull.
Jerry and Ron enjoyed traveling together and relished their summers on Owasco Lake and their winters in Florida. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, crocheting, and time in her flower gardens along with playing cards with family and friends.
Her family will deeply miss her sparkling blue eyes, beautiful smile and the strength, warmth and grace she exhibited throughout her life.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at All Saints Church in Lansing, NY. Calling hours will be at Bangs Funeral Home in Ithaca on Monday, July 19th from 4-7. Please consider donating to the Lansing Food Pantry (PO Box 21) or a charity of your choice.
