Jennifer E. Wallace Wilcox

Our beloved Jennifer, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 11 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon, with whom she shared a very close and special bond. She is also survived by her brothers, David and Peter, and her nieces and nephews, Chris, Dee, Brian, Sara, Michele, Christopher, Brian, and Scott as well as several other close relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Porky, her parents, Skippy and Dorothy, her mother in-law Helen, her brother, Skip, and nephew Mark.

Jennifer was born in Ithaca and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca. She was also former member of the Ithaca Yacht Club and Ithaca Country Club as well as a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She retired from the Ithaca Police Department and was formerly employed by the Ithaca Gun Company. She was a strong and happy person who could always be found with a smile on her face. She was never too busy to help others and in addition to cultivating many friendships throughout the community, volunteered at the Loaves & Fishes in Ithaca.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 2 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, Ithaca. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1 pm. Private burial will be held at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Loaves and Fishes or the SPCA of Tompkins County.
