Jeffrey J. Jones, 59, of Ithaca, has found peace and went to his eternal home after suffering a sudden heart attack on May 3rd 2017.
Jeff was born on July 25, 1957 in Ithaca, NY to loving parents, Robert D. and Virginia (Kelly) Jones, both deceased. He is survived by his partner and best friend, Mary Joe Robinson; his six siblings, Connie (Richard) Evans, Robert (Koko) Jones, Jr., Carol (Phil) Leet, David (Karen) Jones, Daniel Jones and Jennifer Hunter; and many other family members, friends and his beloved cat, Baby Boy.
In his younger years, Jeff enjoyed traveling, his work with FEMA, and having his own carpentry and electrical business. After becoming disabled, he enjoyed NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr.), gardening and fishing. He also had the ability to bring any dying houseplant back to life. To those who knew him best, he was known for his big heart, helping anyone he could.
Calling hours will be held at Bangs Funeral Home on May 26th from 3 to 4 pm and a memorial service from 4 to 5 pm. Family and friends are asked to bring memories of Jeff to share.
