Jean E. Baker

Jean E. Baker, 78, of Mary St., Ithaca, passed away Wednesday, November 09, 2016 at the Cayuga Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Ithaca, daughter of the late James and Freida Lovelace Galt.

Jean was retired from True Insurance where she had worked for 35 years. She loved playing BINGO and traveling and in her earlier years was an avid roller skater.

Jean is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lyman E. Baker; her son, William E. Baker (Aimee); her grandchildren, Caitlin Rainbow (Derek), Sam, Alex and Chris Baker and Will Rich and her great grandchildren, Jaidyn, Harper and Izzie Rainbow. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her brother, Jimmy Galt.

A private graveside service will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory may be made to the S.P.C.A.
