Janet Dunlop Wilkinson

Janet Dunlop Wilkinson, 85 of 361 East King Rd. Ithaca NY passed away peacefully at home February 1st 2016 after a long illness.

Born in Ithaca, NY May 29th 1930 to James and Margret Dunlop, Mom attended many schools as her father went where there was work during the depression, finally settling in Newark Valley and graduating high school. She worked as a switch board operator until meeting my Dad, marrying and starting a family. When Dad quit the Ithaca Police force and started an antique restoration business at home, Mom worked along side him keeping the books and scheduling appointments.

Janet is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Leland G. Wilkinson, and son James G Wilkinson and Sister: Marion Dunlop Lee. She is survived by two daughters, Ann L Fantauzzi (Damian) of Middle Grove NY, and Elizabeth L Wilkinson of South Danby NY, a grandson Zack Fantauzzi (Christine) Albany NY, a grand daughter Caitlyn F Manfreddi (Anthony) Oak Park IL, and 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews



Mom was an avid reader and loved to sew for her family, friends and neighbors. Having parents from Scotland, she was very proud of her heritage and enjoyed going to Scottish picnics and clan gatherings.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bangs Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the spring at Coddington Rd. Cemetery. Contributions can be made in Moms name to Hospice of Ithaca and Ronald McDonald House
