James C. Beatty

James C. Beatty, 91, of Ithaca, passed away Tuesday September 10, 2013 at Oak Hill Manor after a brief illness. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio son of the late Clifford and Mary Beatty and widower of Edna Beatty(01/24/2008). Jim was a member of the Masons Fidelity #51 of Ithaca for over 60 years,where he was a Master in 1973 and also served as there Trustee for over 20 years, he received a 60 year pin in 2006, also the Dedicated Service Award Apron and was 32nd degree Mason. Jim was a veteran of WWII. He served in the Navy and is a Pearl Harbor Survivor, a member of Cataract Hose Co. #7 and Veteran Volunteer Fireman's Association.

Jim retired from NYSEG after 32 years of service.

Survivors include Daughter: Phyllis Bowers, Grandson: Rob (Crystal) Doner Granddaughter: Marissa Bowers Great Grandsons:
Robert and Michael Doner, Brother: Clifford Beatty and several Nieces and Nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday September 17, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Bangs Funeral Home with Rev. Eunice Taber and Ithaca Masons Fidelity # 51 officiating. Friends may call from 10:00A.M. to 11:00 A.M.prior to the service. Burial with full Military honors will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery Lansing.
