Jack D. Bordoni

Jack D. Bordoni, 63, died peacefully Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his home. He was born in Ithaca, son of the late David and Iolanda Olevano Bordoni.


Jack was employed by the City of Ithaca Department of Public Works for nearly 30 years as a parking lot attendant. He was an active member of the Neriton Fire Co. #9 with the Fire Police Squad, and was also a life member of the Veterans of Cayuga Hose # 1, the Veteran Volunteer Firemen's Association and the Italian Society Mutual Aid. Jack loved animals and could be seen walking his little Chihuahua every day during her lifetime. He often purchased peanuts to feed the squirrels at work.

Jack is survived by his brothers, Gary (Patricia) Bordoni of Ithaca and Robert Bordoni of Boynton Beach, Florida; his sister, Sandy (Kip) Townsend of Ithaca; nephews, Matthew (Jolee) Bordoni, CD Townsend and Trevor Townsend; his niece, Jennifer Bordoni; his aunt, Lisa Olevano and great niece, Maddison Bordoni and several cousins.

Jack will be missed by all of his family and friends and all that he greeted entering and exiting all the City of Ithaca parking garages.


Friends may call Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Bangs Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. Private graveside services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
