France, Irene Laura Feely
Ithaca: Irene Laura Feely France, 81, of Ithaca, NY, formerly of Rotterdam, passed away April 9, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in Schenectady in 1930 she was the daughter of the late Edward Feely and Laura MacKenzie Feely. Irene graduated from Draper High School. She married Robert (Bob) France in 1949. Irene was the bookkeeper for Bob France's Mobil Station for 18 years. Irene is survived by her children, Pamela (Ted) Wrona of Derby, KS, Suzanne France of Newfield, NY and Michael (Dawn) France of Rotterdam, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kalyn Rossiter (Kyle) of Alexandria, VA, Erin Wrona (Sean Smith) of Washington DC and Brandon and Madison France of Rotterdam; her great grandchild, Anna Rossiter and several nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her sister, Florence Feely Mertig. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13 from 6 to 8 pm at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam, NY. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Viewland Cemetery, Rotterdam, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation; Tompkins County SPCA, 1540 Hanshaw Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850 or to Hospicare of Tompkins County, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
