Herbert C. Woodhull

Herbert C. Woodhull, 77, of Besemer Rd., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 01, 2014 at the Cayuga Medical Center. He was born in Ithaca on August 10, 1936, son of the late Charles S. and Bernice (Hungerford) Woodhull.

Herb had been a heavy equipment operator for many years and was still active plowing snow. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and he also enjoyed junking. He enjoyed nothing more than being with family and friends at barbeques, picnics and other gatherings.

Herb is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jacqueline (Campbell) Woodhull; his daughter, Beth (Jeff) Cleveland; his sons, Stephen (Karen) Woodhull and Michael (Nicole) Woodhull; grandchildren, Kristen, Ryan, Melissa (Cody), Matt, Gerald, Taylor, Mallory, Molly, Jessica (Nate), Jeremy (Mandie) and Zack and great grandchildren, Mason, Aubree, Lincoln, Riely-Jo and Bentlee. He is also survived by his brother, Charles W. Woodhull.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5th at 3 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. Friends may call prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. The family will also receive friends following the service at a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brooktondale Fire Station. Burial in Quick Cemetery, Brooktondale, will be delayed until spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Herb's memory may be made to the Brooktondale Rescue Squad or the Slaterville Volunteer Ambulance.
