Helen (Niecy) Denise Swain

The life of Helen Denise Swain also known as Niecy was born in Utica NY to the late Helen L Hawkins of Hartwell GA and James Lee carter sr. of Las Vegas NV on November 27, 1969.

Niecy grew up in Utica NY and spent some of her summers in Hartwell GA. She attended Utica free academy and also Utica school of commerce where she took college courses. Nicey then married Allen swain and shortly after moved to Syracuse NY where she raised her children. While in Syracuse Helen worked at Upstate University Hospital dietary department, subway, colonial laundromat, and finished her work career at price chopper food services of western lights in Syracuse that of which she loved.

Helen D Swain our mom was strong in every sense of the word! Strong willed, strong mentally and physically from her prime to her passing. Niecy loved music, singing, cracking jokes, cooking and dancing even off beat sometimes after having one to many lol, but she was always going to dance the night away. She was creative, caring kind and respectful. Her passion was being a big sis, a trustworthy friend and a great mother. She was comfortable in the kitchen if it looks good, it smells good and so it taste good oh what a beautiful thing! A real natural but watching her cooking shows helped her take it up a Notch. She earned respect in her childhood, she was an over achiever in school yeah a real no it all. She knew what it took to survive and she did just that by surviving challenges with a smile, but if you made her go from Helen to Niecy watch out because there maybe blood, but that was what LOVE will do to a person so full of life that will cut, bruise, bleed and even die for especially for her children.

Helen has officially earned her highest seat in the stars where they say the greatest go after fulfilling their purpose on this earth so we say job well done Helen Jr job well done.

She is preceded by her grandparents Edna Rayton Hawkins, Allonie Mills Carter Brooks and OD Carter, mother Helen L Hawkins, son Edward Swain, nephew Neko Rayton, and uncle Thomas Rayton.

Survived by her children Antoinette (Perries) Rucker Hartwell, Deniquea Hawkins (Jake) of Ithaca NY and Anthony Swain of Syracuse NY. Sister Kesha Hawkins, Brothers Bobby Cooper, Hennessey Hawkins , James Lee Carter Jr., Harold Chalmers and Jamal Hinton. 9 grandchildren and a Host of Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins. Other siblings Leon, Sciquita, Yolanda Mccants.
