Helen Ruane Tudi

Helen Ruane Tudi, 88, of Ithaca, died Thursday September 18, 2014 at home. She was born in Ithaca, the daughter of the late Thomas Patrick and Bina Killcoin Ruane.

Helen was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School and Ithaca High School, and retired from Tompkins Trust Company with over 40 years of service. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Helen was also an avid sports fan especially for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Survivors include her son, Patrick (Debra) Tudi; grandchildren, Nicole and Anthony Tudi; and great grandson, Gianni Tudi; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Barbara Ruane; and cousin, Ruth Pierson; also beloved dogs, Bailey and Jordan. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by brothers and sister-in-law, James (Margaret) Ruane, Frances and Robert Ruane.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday September 23, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Jeffrey Tunnicliff officiating. Family and friends may call Monday September 22, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to either Immaculate Conception School or the S.P.C.A. of Tompkins County.
