Piech, Helen Jane
Helen Jane Piech, age 85, of Cumberland Furnace, TN. formerly of Ithaca, NY. Died Sunday, May 26,2013 at Horizon Medical Center. Mrs. Piech and her late husband "Pete" owned and operated the Ithaca Cleaning Company in Ithaca, NY. They were long time residents and had many friends in the Ithaca area. Mrs. Piech was a graduate of Ithaca High School and a faithful Catholic.
Survivors: four daughters: Virginia Payne Jones (Daniel), Barbara Payne Smith (Gary), Janet Payne Hall (Richard), Debra Payne Klein (Mark); one step-son Martin Piech; two step-daughters: Salleanne Kane, Sandra Giles; 10 grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends. Preceded in death by: parents: John & Anna Battyani Murinchack; father of her children: Leon J. Payne; husband: Peter J. Piech; Infant Daughter: Sharon Payne; brothers: John, Andrew, Stephen & Louis Murinchack; sisters: Margaret Murinchack Todi & Anne Murinchack Brearley; step son: Ronald Piech.
Graveside services will be celebrated by Fr. Jeffrey Tunnicliff on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice . Arrangements by Bangs Funeral Home.
