Helen Louise Fisher, daughter of the late Walter James and Veronica Marie Fisher, was born on December 20, 1927
in Ithaca, New York and died on February 8, 2014.
Helen was a lifelong Communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and was a graduate of Immaculate Conception
School and Ithaca High School.
Upon Graduation, she was employed at the H.A. Carey Insurance Company for several years, and at the time of her
retirement, she was employed at NYSEG and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was also a member of the Newman Ladies Golf League and Ithaca Woman's Bowling Association, and enjoyed bowling in many local, state and National Tournaments.
Survivors include Sisters: Evelyn A. (Richard) Bittel Sr. of Liverpool, and Mary F. Anderson of Ithaca, Nieces: Nancy (Thomas) Bittel of Cicero and Carolyn J. (Roger) Weeks of Newfield, Nephews:
Robert L. (Sandra) Anderson Jr. of Lansing, Richard (Lisa) Bittel Jr. and Daniel (Kimberly) Bittel, both of Liverpool,NY and Nephew-In-Law: F. John (Kimberly) Troy III of Genoa. She is also survived by Cousins, several Grand nieces and Grand Nephews.
besides her parents she was also pre-deceased by her Niece Maureen Anderson Troy, her Brother-In-Law Robert L. Anderson Sr. and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday February 16, 2014 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at Bangs Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday February 17, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Jeffrey Tunnicliff officiating. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to either the Immaculate Conception Church, the American Heart Association or the Leukemia Society.
