Harry Guidi, born September 14th, 1940 to Emma and the late Fred Guidi, lost his battle with cancer April 2, 2012. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean (Magnus) Guidi. The couple had three children, Anthony (Kristi), Cindy, and Carmen (Nan); seven grandchildren, Joshua (Tina), Zachary, Michael, Nicholas, Marissa, Carmin, Nicole; and one great-grandson, Dominick. He is survived by a brother, Gary (Gladys) Guidi; a sister, Ann (John) Augustine; and several nieces and nephews. Harry also leaves behind his beloved German Shepherd, Phoenix. Harry was a gifted Autobody Repairman. He managed the body shop at Zikakis in downtown Ithaca before building his own shop in Newfield. He co-owned Guidi's Collision, Inc. with his son since 1987 and worked every day until he (semi) retired in 2006. Harry was an avid collector of many "things" including Corvettes and Harley Davidson motorcycles. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14th, at 11:00 a.m. at People's Baptist Church, 364 Main Street in Newfield. The burial will be at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to The Rescue Mission in Syracuse. Bangs Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
