Gordon Sanderson, 77, of 36 Shore Drive, Ithaca, Died Sunday May 1, 2016 at the Cayuga Medical Center. Born in Ithaca Son Of the late Roy and Florence Wilson Sanderson.
Gordon retired from Cornell University after 25 years of service, he was an avid hunter and fisherman also a member of Asbury Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife of just short 50 years June Derr Sanderson, sister: Betty (Chuck) Barris, brothers: John (Sue) Sanderson, Kenneth and Edward Sanderson. In addition to his parents he was also Pre-Deceased by a sister: Louise Davis and brothers: Robert, James and Lawrence Henderson.
A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday May 7, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at the Asbury Assembly of God Church 2978 N. Triphammer Rd. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon prior to the service. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donation in Gordon's name may be made the Church. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
