Gloria Y. Hubble

Gloria C.  Hubble entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 89.

Gloria was born on September 27, 1931 in the Town of Candor New York.  She was the daughter of the late Lottie Taylor and Santo “Sam” Consalvi.  She was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception School and Ithaca High School.  During her career she was employed at New York Telephone Company and later General Electric (where she personally met and had her picture taken with the actor, Ronald Reagan who was a spokesman for GE and later he became the 40th President of the United States). In her later years she was employed at Cerachi Cable Co. and retired as the Religious Education Administrator for the Immaculate Conception School.

Gloria was a wonderful cook and baker and she found great joy in her family and friends.  She especially loved having her family dinners on Sundays, holidays (which for many years included friends) and birthdays. Her grandsons were the love of her life, and she spent hours nurturing them.

Gloria was a longtime parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church and in recent years became a member of and attended daily mass at Saint James Church of Mary Mother of Mercy in Trumansburg. Gloria volunteered at Birthright for over 30 years and was involved in many other volunteer works.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Nikki Haskins of Newfield and her loving son Jason Hubble of Ithaca. She is also survived by her grandsons, Edward Haskins and Nichols Haskins and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Gerald “Jerry” Hubble, her sisters, Agnes “Louise” Kopf and Theresa Little as well as her brothers, Rudolph Consalvi and Carl Consalvi.

Gloria will be remembered as a loving, kind and generous woman who reached out to everyone with her gentleness and affection.  She will be missed by all.
