Gerald Lippincott of Brooktondale New York passed away on July 23th, 2012 at the age of 85. Gerald was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley (Alexander) Lippincott, parents Lee and Lily (Spencer) Lippincott, sisters, Patricia Williams, and Dixie Campbell. Gerald is survived by his brother Stacey (Pauline) Lippincott, and sister, Maxine (John) Godfrey. He is also survived by his loving children, Richard (Deborah) Lippincott, Gayle Lippincott, Susan (William) Gardner, Jr., Jerene (Bruce) Murray, and David (Cheryl) Lippincott. 15 very special grandchildren Bryon Lippincott, Michelle Nash, Eric Lippincott, Douglas English, Jr, Daniel Dean, Jr, Marceine Lippincott, Jennifer Coppage, Sarah Hall, Matthew Gardner, Samuel Murray, Christopher Murray, Joshua Lippincott, Jeremy Lippincott, Sean Chalpan, Shanna Borders, and 15 wonderful great-grandchildren that brought much joy to his life, and several nieces and nephews.

Gerald proudly served in WWII with the US Navy on the USS Saint Paul and later served in the US Air Corps.

Gerald worked as a carpenter for several years before retiring in 1991 from Cornell University. After retirement Gerald and his wife Shirley had a wonderful time traveling around the United States together.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, July 26th at 1:00pm at Quick Cemetery in Brooktondale. A celebration of Gerald's life will follow at the Brooktondale Fire Department, 786 Valley Rd. Brooktondale, NY. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to the kind people who helped Gerald
