George Eric Peter

George Eric Peter, 68, of Pennsylvania Ave., Ithaca, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 05, 2016. He was born in Ithaca, son of the late Jacob and Hazel Robertson Peter.

Eric was a member of the Ithaca High Class of 1966 and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a jack of all trades and worked in many areas from engineering and construction to auto sales.

Eric is survived by his son, Jason R. Peter of Ithaca; his sister, Joanne Peter Arnold of Rochester and his brothers, David Jake Peter of Ithaca and Jacob Peter of Florida. He is also survived by his aunts and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, Eric was predeceased by several uncles and aunts.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, April 08, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Bangs Funeral Home.
