George Harold Hulse peacefully passed at home, on Monday July 31, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. George loved hunting, friend and family gatherings and spending time with his great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his beloved Bubba, parents, Harold Hulse and Lois Kendall Surdam and a sister Leah Whitted. George was a lifetime resident of Newfield. He served in the Army where he toured in Vietnam. He worked as a tin knocker, a tree service man and retired from the United States Postal Service.
George is survived by his wife, Elaine Saunders Hulse, a son Eric VanZile, daughters, Amy Jacobs (Adam), Lori Hulse and Cherie Hulse. Grandson Robert (Kayla) McCray, great granddaughter, Emma Grace McCray, an aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private service to be determined at a later date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in George's name to Newfield Fire Dept, Hospice Care (Ithaca) or Newfield Lioness.
