Gail P. Stevens, of Ithaca, NY (formerly of Middletown, NY) passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Cayuga Ridge Nursing with her daughter by her side. She was 86.
The daughter of the late Richard Kenneth Lybolt and Isabel Youngs Lybolt, she was born on May 7, 1938. She was the widow of Richard C. Stevens who passed away in 1982.
Gail had a quick wit and a kind soul. She loved knitting and crocheting and many lucky people have been recipients of her labors of love. Her immense love for her family will be felt for many years to come.
Survivors include her five children, Marion Stevens of Ithaca, NY, Kevin Stevens (Cindy) of Ogden, UT, Mark Stevens (Connie) of Goshen, NY, Richard Stevens (Mary) of Middletown, NY, and Patricia Martine (Thomas) of Amsterdam, NY; nine grandchildren, Amanda Flynn, Kevin Stevens, Tyler Stevens, Michele Smithers, Deana Mancini, Thomas Holdsworth, Nicholas Stevens, Katrina Bennett and Nicole Stevens; 17 great grandchildren; her twin brother, Richard Lybolt (Lynn) of Sun City, AZ, sister-in-law, Carole Lybolt of Middletown, NY and sister-in-law, Shirley Ziemer of Colchester, VT; nieces and nephews.
Gail was pre-deceased by grandson Richard Curtis Stevens, brother Rollin H. Lybolt and his twin sister Marion E. Forkey.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green St., Ithaca, NY. A church service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Jacksonville Community Church, 1869 Trumansburg Rd., Trumansburg, NY.
