Frederick M. Denmark

Frederick M. Denmark, 88 of Trumansburg Passed away October 1 at home with his family by his side.  Fred was born on September 21, 1933 in Ithaca the son of the late Howard and Ruth Handlin Denmark.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and building homes.  Fred was a reputable painter and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Predeceased by his parents, son: James; brother: Eugene “Jake”; sisters: Elizabeth Ashley and Shirley Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Margret Page Denmark; his children: Fred Jr. (Joan), John (Karen), Patrick (Joanne), Peggy (George) Kastenhuber, Dorothy (Tim) Wright, and Sue (Kevin) Winder; 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 5 from 4-6 pm at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green Street, Ithaca with a memorial service to follow at 6pm with Rev. Harry Dow officiating.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc. or Hospicare.
