Frank J. Kenjerska

August 19, 1930 — March 12, 2013

Frank K. Kenjerska, 82, died peacefully on Tuesday, march 12, 2013 at Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ithaca, son of the late Paul and Mary Tarala Kenjerska.


Frank was a Rhiner and played with the Red Wings baseball team. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Frank worked for Borg-Warner and retired from Emerson Power Transmission after many years of service.


Frank is survived by his daughter, Karen (Roy) Westmiller of Newfield; his sister, Lucille June of Ithaca; many nieces and nephews, and long-time friend, Wilma Lehto. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn; his brothers, Louis, Anthony, Paul, John and James and his sisters, Julia, Stella and Mildred.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment with military honors at East Lawn Cemetery will be delayed until spring. Friends may call on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory may be made to Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home, 602 Hudson St., Ithaca, NY 14850 or to the charity of ones choice. The family would like to thank Frank's extended family at Oak Hill Manor for their loving care, friendship, compassion and support during his years as a resident.
