Francis J. "Frank" Carbone

Francis Julio "Chickie" Carbone, of, Ithaca New York, went to heaven, September 14th 2012 from natural causes.

He was born in Trenton New Jersey, March 28th 1947, to Domenick Carbone and Josephine E (Bossio) Carbone. Francis graduated from Trenton High in 1965.

He was an entrepreneur, with his own restaurant. His last employment was "Frank's Pizzeria" at Cayuga Ridge nursing home where he resided the past three years. His once a month pizza making there brought people from all around Ithaca for his pizza as well as his conversation. He was mostly know as "the Pie Man", one of few left that could still toss the dough up high in the air, something that he perfected while working for his cousins, Maruca's Pizza, on the Jersey shore and part time for Jo Jo's Tavern in Trenton; it was a skill that he learned at Maruca's Tomato Pie, of Trenton N.J. in his teens.

He is survived by his brother Vincent of New Jersey. His son James Carbone, of Pennsylvania; his daughter Rebecca Festa, New York. He is also survived by ten grandchildren Brianna, Hanna, Emmy, Nate, Ally, Tyler, Domenic, Stone, Cassidy, Logan and his grandson Justin whom is already in heaven with him now. His aunt Julie of Silver springs M.D.. His cousins Nancy of Washington D.C..; Russell of Silver springs M.D..; Julie of Hamilton N.J.; Nancy of N.Y.; the Pugliesee cousins; the Williams cousins; Fera cousins Teresa and Eddie of Fl.; Louise of Mt.Laurel. His Second cousins Joey, Donnie and Marie Maruca of Toms River NJ, Patty and Lisa of Hamilton, as well as many other cousins and family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Frank's name to the non-profit group "The Kidney TRUST" or passed on to Rebecca to make one combined donation.

Memorial service will be held from 10 to 11,October 6th, at Memorial Baptist Church, 17 Highland Ave. Yardville, N.J. 08620 followed by a gathering, catered by Rebecca & James at Colonial Firehouse, 801 Kuser Rd, Hamilton, NJ 08619. Look forward to seeing you and hearing your memories of our father.
