Frances Neva (Aagaard) Terwillegar

Frances N. Terwillegar, 92 of Brooktondale, NY passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at home in the loving care of her family.

Born September 3, 1932 in Ithaca, NY she was the daughter of Andrew and Nancy Cardonia Aagaard and the wife of the late Eber J. Terwillegar, who passed away in 2003.  She was also predeceased by her brothers,  John S. Aagaard and Andrew “Popeye” Aagaard.

For a brief time, Frances worked at Ithaca College, but the majority of her life was spent as a homemaker to her beloved family. She loved animals, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Patricia (John) Russell, Debra (James) Switzgable and Tammy (Lewis) Yildirimturk; grandchildren, Kimberly (Shawn) Blackmur, Holly (Dave) Russell, Shawn Russell, Matthew Switzgable and Alex (Mallory) Switzgable; four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green St., Ithaca NY with Deacon George Kozak officiating.  Burial will follow at Brookton Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-2 p.m.
