Eunice Cornell Milne Jones

Eunice Cornell Milne Jones, 87, of 5 Emmons Rd., Lansing, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Ithaca October 14, 1925, daughter of the late Alex and Elspel Milne.
She worked at Bell Telephone and NYSEG before dedicating her life to her husband and children. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard "Cecil" Jones in 1999. Eunice and Cecil opened Cecil's Tavern in Lansing in 1962. The tavern was owned by the Jones family until 2009.
A loving and devoted wife and mother, she was cherished by her children, Candace Jones (Mark DeNombellis), Richard, Valerie and Michael Jones; her three grandsons, Zac Davenport, Matt Jones and Tim Stanton. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Trudy Jones and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her brother, Alex Milne and sisters, Dorothy (Wally) Hammond and Margaret (Dillie) Dilmore.
In keeping with Eunice's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lansing Central School District Music Department or to the charity of one's choice.
