Emery Theodore Grow

Emery T. Grow, 97, of 1421 Elmira Road, Newfield, NY passed away December 15, 2012 at Cayuga Medical Center. Emery was born June 11, 1915, in Italy Valley, NY to William and Mary (Ellsworth) Grow. He lived all his life in the Finger Lakes region, the last 51 years in the Ithaca area. He had a varied working career, was a hands-on person, excellent mechanical problem solver, and very proud when he retired, to have been a 17-year Cornell employee. Emery married Helen Johncox , of Canandaigua, in 1936. He was predeceased by his wife, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, & grandson Russell Pattington. He is survived and greatly loved by 4 children, Donna Wickham, Hector, William (Nancy), Palm City FL, Laurel (Don) Buchanan, Marion, NC, and Alice Grow, Newfield NY, 9 grandchildren Patricia (Todd) Rafferty, Nathan Wooley, Erik (Chris) Grow, Katherine (Clint) Bradley, April (Kam Parker) Dennis, David Dennis, Jon (Megan) Dennis, Jordan Parkner, Laurie (Jim) Pattington-Garmhausen, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
