Ellen F. Ledger

Ellen F. Ledger , 86, of Brooktondale, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Cayuga Medical Center. She was born in Malone, NY, daughter of the late Silas and Frieda Schooley Ferguson.

Ellen retired from the Federal Nutrition Lab at Cornell University in 2003. She was a farmer by heart.

Ellen is survived by her children: Edie (Bob) Spaulding, Orson Ledger, Jr., Betty (Bob) Soule and Ray(Eileen) Ledger and her husband, Orson Ledger. She is also survived by a sister, Jean Harrell; brothers, Silas Ed (Nancy) Ferguson, Bill Ferguson and John (Betty) Ferguson and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Silas and Frieda Schooley Ferguson, she was also predeceased by a son,Larry Ledger.

A Memorial Service will be held April 24, 2014 at the Brooktondale Baptist Church at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Slaterville Ambulance, PO Box 153, Slaterville, NY 14881. Bangs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
