Elizabeth C Vandeusen

Elizabeth C. (Bostwick) Van Deusen of McKinney's Point, Ithaca, passed away January 23, 2013 at Cayuga Medical Center. Born March 12, 1943 in Englewood, NJ to Herbert Camp Bostwick and Jeannette (Brown) Bostwick, "Biz" grew up in Hempstead, NY. She graduated from The Cascadilla School in 1961. Predeceased by her parents. Biz is survived by her husband of 48 years, Neil; sister Ann (Stephen) Healy of Tobyhanna, PA; children David McEwen (Kathleen) of Port Huron, MI, Jinny Van Deusen of Boston, MA, and Tod Van Deusen of Boston, MA; beloved grandchildren Shannon, Averi, Rachel, Kate and Jack; aunt Barbara Bostwick Eaton of Ridgewood, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. Biz was a loving and spirited wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be missed dearly by all those whose lives were touched by her. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cayuga Medical Center Foundation, or to the Tompkins County SPCA. The family is grateful to the wonderful staff of the ER and ICU at CMC for their compassionate care.
