Eleanor Elizabeth Daniels

Eleanor Elizabeth Daniels, 94, of King Ferry and formerly of Ithaca, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 14, 2014. She was born in Forksville, PA, daughter of the late Elmer and Helena Teeter Rinebold.

Eleanor was retired from School of Industrial & Labor Relations at Cornell University. She was an avid gardener and genealogist and loved traveling, painting, decorating and photography.

Eleanor is survived by her husband of 37 years, Cleon Daniels of King Ferry; her daughters, Donna Pardoe (Tom) Fauls of Lansing, Sally Pardoe (Bruce) Hoyt of Newfield, Cynthia Matychak (Richard) Fancher of Honeoye Falls, NY , Joli Matychak (Bob) Weber of Murells Inlet, SC and Lorinda (John Voigt) Martin of Ashburn, VA; her niece, Rose Sheldon of Richford, NY and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step daughters, Jane (Gerald) Youngs of Lisle, NY, Nancy (Mike) Wandall of Lakeland, FL and step son, Dana (Penny) Daniels of Memphis, TN. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was also predeceased by her husbands, Edward Pardoe, Fred Matychak and Dr. Albert Martin; her son, Richard Matychak and her sisters, Hazel Wanagitis, Anna Ellsworth, Anita Hunsinger and Mary Featherbay.

Funeral services will be celebrated by Rev. Dale Ford on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home with burial to follow at the East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor's memory may be made to Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Dr., Auburn, NY 13021.
