Edward W. Mitchell, 82, of 1370 Danby Road, Ithaca, died Thursday August 6, 2015 at
the Cayuga Medical Center. Born in Danbury, Ct. son of the late William and Mahaby Ferris Mitchell
on April 21, 1933. and widow of Helen Ruth Mitchell (May 24, 2009)
Ed was a veteran of the US Army. He was a local Meat Cutter for 50 years in the Ithaca area.
Survivors include Sons: Edward (Shonn), Guy, Greg (Debra) and James (Brenda) Daughter: JoAnn (Donna)
as well as by his loving son at heart Scott (Dianna) Bennett, Grandchildren: Aaron, Andrew, Matthew, Jonathan,, Philip, Cara, Jessica, Joshua, Trevor and Dominic and his great grandchildren: Jasmine, Jacob, Bryan, Georgia, Cash and Charlie,
also his sister: Nancy Farris and several nieces and nephews.
Prayer services will be held Monday August 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Bangs Funeral Home with Fr. Jeffrey Tunnicliff
officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cayuga Medical Center Foundation Attn: Nursing Education Program.
