Colonel Edward J. Brady, US Army Retired, 87, passed away on January 25, 2024. Ed was born to Walton and Ruth Brady on February 14, 1936 and grew up in Victor, New York. After graduating from Niagara University in 1958, he joined the U.S. Army. His service included tours of duty in Germany, Vietnam, and various locations within the USA. He retired from the US Army as a Colonel in 1989 at Fort Lewis, Washington and then lived in Olympia, Washington for more than 30 years. His work career included working for the state of Washington, and the State University of New York Plattsburgh. While working in Plattsburgh, Ed parlayed his love of learning into a master’s degree in history. Family and friends will miss his keen sense of intelligence, dry wit, and passion for reading.
Ed is survived by his wife, Liselotte; daughters, Susanne (Seth), Erika, and Brigitte; and twin grandsons, Wyeth and Gabriel. He is also survived by his sister, Martha, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Kathleen, Walton, and Roger.
