Edith Moshier Leonardo

Edith Moshier Leonardo, 84, died Sunday, October 08, 2012 at the Cayuga Ridge Nursing Home. She was born June 24, 1928 in Mannsville, NY, daughter of the late Rose and Louis Moshier and was the widow of Alfred Leonardo who died in 2007. Edie and Alfred met at Challenge and they were married on May 27, 1965. Following Alfred's death, she resided at Cayuga Ridge where she made many friends and enjoyed her days playing bingo, cards and socializing.
Edie is survived by her siblings, Olive, Joyce and Clifford Moshier; sister-in-law, Josie Schug and a special friend, Ainsley Sawyer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Cayuga Ridge, 1229 Trumansburg Rd., Ithaca. There are no calling hours. Private interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Edie's memory may be made to Cayuga Ridge. A special thanks to the Cayuga Ridge staff who made Edie's life meaningful and full and a thanks to Pastor Steve Froehlich of New Life Presbyterian Church and his congregation for their spiritual and loving help for so many years.
